We’ve seen portable batteries to charge on the go and we’ve also seen flash storage for smartphones but the new Imation Link Power Drive is actually both.
The Imation Link Power Drive is a 2-in-1 product for the iPhone and iPod Touch to give your battery even longer life and also puts your favourite content at your fingertips.
The device is about 7.3cm wide, 6.4cm wide and 2.2cm thick and weighs 110g so it’s small and light enough to carry around and have it handy whenever you need it.
On top of the product is a small button with four indicator lights to show how much charge is left on the internal battery.
There’s an integrated USB cable, to charge the 3000mAh internal battery, along with a Lightning cable that also unfolds from the shell of the Imation Link Power Drive to connect to your iPhone or iPod Touch.
Imation’s Link Power Drive has enough power to completely recharge the iPhone or iPod Touch.
The bottom of the device also slides forward to act as a stand so you can position your device for easy charging or viewing.
Apart from boosting your battery, the Imation Link Power Drive also makes it possible to transfer content on and off the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Users can also stream the content that’s stored on the drive.
What makes all of that easier is the free accompanying Power Drive app.
This app makes it possible to access the content stored on the drive as well as within the app on your device.
There’s also access to the content stored locally on your device which can be copied to the Link Power Drive.
Content is organised in folders for documents, movies, music and photos.
If you’re running out of space on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you can clear up space by storing it on the drive or transfer to your computer.
And of course, with a regular USB plug, the Imation Link Power Drive also connects to your Mac or PC to drag content on and off the device.
The Imation Link Drive is available now from Officeworks and other leading retailers in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and is priced at $129.95, $149.95 and $189.95 respectively.
