Hisense has unveiled its most ambitious range of televisions with its new UR series which will incorporate the company’s latest RGB MiniLED technology.
We first saw the new RGB MiniLED technology last year with the company’s dazzling 116-inch model.
Announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Hisense will offer this new backlight technology in its UR series which will range in sizes from 55-inch all the way up to 116-inch.
Hisense pioneered the RGB mini LED technology which places red, green and blue backlights in the TV rather than traditional white or blue backlight which required a quantum dot filter layer to produce colour.
Now the colour is coming directly from these individually controlled red, green and blue LEDs which is run through Hisense’s proprietary dual-chip architecture.
Now the TV must activate only the red, green and blue LEDs required at any given time to deliver a new level of colour accuracy, contrast and brilliance.
“RGB MiniLED is the foundation of Hisense’s home entertainment strategy, setting the benchmark for next-generation display innovation,” said Kevin Ke, Managing Director, Hisense Australia and New Zealand.
“It delivers exceptional quality and value while creating shared entertainment experiences that bring families together.
“As we expand this technology across more sizes and series, we’re redefining what ultimate entertainment looks like in everyday life.”
The other benefit of the RGB MiniLED technology is a 20 per cent energy reduction compared to other display technologies.
This year Hisense has introduced RGB MiniLED evo which introduces an industry first Sky Blue-Cyan 4th LED into the backlight which completes one of the most commonly missed portions of the natural light spectrum.
The Hisense dual chip architecture joins forces with the Hi-View AI Engine RGB chip which has a dedicated RGB MiniLED control chip to handle the processing workloads and enable precise synchronised control of colour and brightness which is optimised through AI.
The result is a 100 per cent improvement in scene adaptation, a 70 per cent increase in scene perception and a 40 per cent boost in computing performance.
And this ensures that the results are visible on the screen with accurate and lifelike visuals across every viewing scenario.
Hisense will showcase the new RGB MiniLED evo technology in its new 116-inch UX TV to deliver one of the richest and most precise colour reproductions on the market with an incredible 110 per cent of the BT.2020 colour gamut and Pantone certifications.
On the audio side, the TV will also offer immersive 6.2.2 CineStage surround sound system that’s tuned by Devialet audio experts.
The RGB MiniLED technology will be offered in the all new UR series including the UR9 and UR8 models.
These will be available in sizes from 55-inch all the way up to 100-inch to offer brilliant RGB MiniLED performance to more homes and more price points.
The new UR range has the same dual chip MiniLED architecture found in the UX lineup and includes a dual film Anti-Glare matte finish so you’re getting vibrant and accurate colour at any time of the day no matter the room’s brightness.
Gamers will also love the UR series which raises performance levels with Game Mode Ultra with support for refresh rates up to 180Hz for ultra smooth motion and super-fast responsiveness to give yourself the competitive edge in the next generation of gaming.
Hisense has also improved its Canvas TV range which blends art, design and display innovation.
It features hi-QLED technology and a Hi-Matte display along with Gallery Mode so that the TV can transform into a work of art when not in use to enhance the look and feel of the modern home.
“The breadth of choice across our range is more than a showcase of display technology leadership for Hisense – it’s a philosophy of innovation that starts with people,” said Ke.
“As the first brand to introduce RGB MiniLED to consumers, we remain committed to advancing its potential and redefining the ultimate home entertainment experience.”
