Apple has unveiled its latest iPad Pro featuring M5 – the latest generation of Apple silicon which offers a noticeable speed bump in performance across the board.
Available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, the iPad Pro with M5 provides incredible power and performance which can easily be used on the move by high end users.
The new iPad Pro with M5 is available to pre-order today and goes on sale on October 22.
Pricing starts at $1,699 for the 11-inch iPad Pro with M5 and $2,199 for the 13-inch iPad Pro with M5.
The M5 chip offers a next generation GPU with a Neural Adapter in each core to deliver a dramatic improvement whether you’re working on a high end project or using AI.
AI capabilities have also taken a leap thanks to a more advanced GPU and CPU and a faster neural engine.
AI performance has been boosted by up to 3.5x when compared to the iPad Pro with M4 and up to 5.6x faster than iPad Pro with M1.

The 11-inch model Is just 5.3mm thick with the 13-inch model coming in at a svelte 5.1mm.
Also onboard is the Ultra Retina XDR display featuring tandem OLED technology to deliver solid brightness, incredible clarity along with ProMotion and TrueTone.
The upgraded iPad Pro not only offers advanced performance but remarkable power efficiency.
Naturally with M5, the iPad Pro’s performance has been significantly improved.
The fastest CPU makes iPad Pro perfect for a wide range of users including graphic designers and business users who need to work on and access large files across multiple apps.
Here’s what the iPad Pro with M5 can deliver:
– Up to 6.7x faster 3D rendering with ray tracing in Octane X when compared to iPad Pro with M1, and up to 1.5x faster than iPad Pro with M4.
– Up to 6x faster video transcode performance in Final Cut Pro for iPad when compared to iPad Pro with M1, and up to 1.2x faster than iPad Pro with M4.
– Up to 4x faster AI image generation performance in Draw Things for iPad when compared to iPad Pro with M1, and up to 2x faster than iPad Pro with M4.
– Up to 3.7x faster AI video upscaling performance in DaVinci Resolve for iPad when compared to iPad Pro with M1, and up to 2.3x faster than iPad Pro with M4.
Another speed improvement has come with the increasing unified memory bandwidth and faster storage read and write speeds.
The new iPad Pro with M5 has more than 150GB/s per second of unified memory bandwidth – that’s a remarkable 30 per cent increase compared to the previous generation.
This means the device can easily multitask across more apps, process AI models faster and handle the most demanding processor and graphics heavy games.
The entry level iPad Pros now come with 12GB of unified memory – that’s 50 per cent more than the previous model.
iPad Pro with M5 now supports fast charge with users able to recharge to 50 per cent in around 30 minutes.
The cellular models of the iPad Pro now include C1X with a cellular modem that offers up to 50 per cent faster cellular data performance percent and up to 30 less power usage then the previous iPad Pro.
Also under the hood is the N1, Apple’s new wireless networking chip which provides Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
