Modern technology gives us many things.

Xiaomi’s new Mi Watch Lite puts all the smart features on your wrist for less than $100

Xiaomi has launched the affordable Mi Watch Lite, priced at less than $100, that can track your steps and exercise and also allow you to view texts, calls and other notifications on your wrist.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite can be paired with Android smartphones and iPhones via the Xiaomi Wear app (Android) and the Xiaomi Wear Lite app (iOS).

It has a 1.4-inch colour touchscreen display with built GPS + GLONASS for precise satellite positioning so it can track your position, speed and distance.

Users can monitor 11 different types of exercises both indoors and out including running, treadmill, cycling, open water swimming, freestyle, pool swimming, cricket, trekking, trail run, walking and indoor cycling.

The watch will track your steps, speed, calories burned and distance and will also allow you to set goals to meet your fitness goals.

And it can also measure your heart rate while you’re exercising, keep track of your resting heart rate and even give you a notification if your heart rate rises above or falls below normal rates as well as monitor long term heart rate changes.

If you stay idle for an extended period, the Mi Watch Lite will also remind you to move around.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite can also be work in bed to track your sleep.

The app provides a comprehensive daily snap shot of your exercise, daily heart rate and sleep data.

Users can also instantly see incoming calls, text messages and app notifications and also control their music playback if they are using a streaming service on their smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite has an impressive nine-day battery life and can be charged to 100 per cent in two hours.

But if you have GPS on constantly in Sports Mode that will bring that battery life down drastically to 10 hours which is basically a full day of use.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite is available now from mi-store.com.au for $99.95.
