Samsung announces pricing and release date for Galaxy Tab S

galaxytabs20Samsung has announced Australian pricing for the eagerly anticipated Galaxy Tab S – available in 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch models – will be released on July 14.

The devices will be available to pre-order from Monday July 7 from Samsung Experience Stores in Sydney and Melbourne as well as on the Samsung E Store www.samsung.com/au/estore/.

Galaxy Tab S is just 6.6mm thick and weighs 298g (8.4-inch 4G) and 467g (10.5-inch 4G).

But the standout feature of the device is the dazzling Super AMOLED display – the same type of sharp and bright screen as soon with Samsung’s Galaxy S5 – with a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

The pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S will be:

* Samsung Galaxy Tab S (8.4-inch Wi-Fi + 4G 16GB) – $629.00 RRP

* Samsung Galaxy Tab S (8.4-inch Wi-Fi 32GB) – $579.00 RRP

* Samsung Galaxy Tab S (10.5-inch Wi-Fi 16GB) – $599.00 RRP

* Samsung Galaxy Tab S (10.5-inch Wi-Fi 32GB) – $699.00 RRP

* Samsung Galaxy Tab S (10.5-inch Wi-Fi + 4G 16GB) – $749.00 RRP

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is powered by an Octa (that’s eight) core processor – which is made up of two quad core processors – 1.9Ghz and 1.3Ghz – so the device had plenty of zip.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S is available in 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch models

The tablet is running the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and has an 8-megapixel camera with flash on the back along with a front-facing 2.1-megapixel camera that’s capable of shooting full high definition video.

The Galaxy Tab S will also have a Book Cover and Simple Cover accessories that will protect the device on the go while still retaining its slim form factor.

The Book Cover protects the tablet and allows the device to be positioned in three different angles.

Both covers attach to the Galaxy Tab S onto the clicker buttons that snap into place the same way snap buttons click together in a shirt.
