Snuggle up with the Stoov heated cushions and blankets to keep warm and stay comfortable

There are a lot of ways to stay warm and Dutch lifestyle brand Stoov has come through from the tech side with a range of products that will keep you cosy.

These include cushions and blankets and Tech Guide took a look at them.

We checked out the Ploov – a heating cushion, the One – a seat cushion and the Big Hug XL – a heating pad.

What all these products have in common built-in infrared technology and a rechargeable battery that can reach temperatures up to 58-degrees.

We’ve seen other similar blankets but none of those had a battery and you needed to be sitting close to a power point or have a very long extension cord.

There’s no such hassle with the stylish Stoov products – you can use them wherever you want whether you’re on the couch watching a movie or on a camping trip.

The infrared technology works like sunlight – it creates energy in the body which the company says brings not only warmth but also better quality rest and sleep.

And the idea behind these products is direct warmth – products that you make contact with – rather than heating the air around you – so you can save on heating costs.

And they are safe to use thanks to the onboard overheating protection technology.

PLOOV – $175

Ploov is a larger cushion that 45cm x 60cm (there’s a smaller 45cm x 45cm for $159) has three heat settings – 38, 45 or 58 degrees.

You can place them behind you or next to you on the couch or on bed or just cuddle up to it.

There are three fabric choices – knitted, original or velvet. Knitted and velvet will add $30 to the price.

We had the Ploov by our side watching movies in our home theatre and it increased our comfort and kept us warm as well.

ONE – $189

One is a cordless heated seat cushion that you can use inside or outside. It is covered with a robust fabric which is UV and dirt proof.

So you can use it on a stool or chair to add some cushioning but also keep you warm.

If you’re freezing in the stands watching your kids sport or your favourite league or AFL team the One can soften the experience and keep you warm at the same time at 38, 45 or 58 degrees.

BIG HUG – $204 (45cm x 110cm), $239 (45cm x 135cm)

The cordless heating pad is more like a comfort blanket that you can place on you or wrap yourself with it.

It has woolly fabric and is soft and warm even before you’ve turned it on.

And when you do you can set it at 38, 45 or 58 degrees.

My wife loved this one and she’s small enough to wrap the Big Hug XL around her shoulders if she wasn’t resting on it while she was watching TV or reading.

Each of the Stoov products offers free delivery and come with a two-year warranty and have a 30-day return policy.
