Uniden has just unveiled the next generation of App Cam Solo security range with the wire-free App Cam Solo PRO weatherproof security camera and spotlight that can be positioned anywhere in your home.
The camera has been designed to suit Australia’s weather conditions and exposure to the elements while still capturing crisp full high definition footage with a 120-degree viewing angle.
And with the spotlight, the Uniden App Cam Solo PRO makes it even easier to see anyone on your property and can also act as a deterrent to unwanted visitors.
The Uniden App Cam Solo PRO is expected to go on sale in Australia in February.
Under the hood is a Starlight CMOS sensor which offers a high quality images as well as clear night vision footage with help from the spotlight.
Customers can also pair the camera with a Uniden Solar Panel to keep the App Cam Solo PRO’s rechargeable battery always charged so it will always have enough power to capture footage and activate the spotlight.
Also onboard is two-way audio so users can accept contactless deliveries and talk to whoever is at the door.
Users will be able to closely monitor the Uniden App Cam Solo Pro through the companion app on their smartphone to watch live footage.
They can also choose to receive notifications to the smartphone app when motion is detected through the camera.
The camera has Uniden’s proprietary Thermo Sense technology that can detect both heat and movement to reduce the amount of false alerts.
Footage can be access directly from the SD card inside the camera or from the cloud where Uniden offers free rolling storage of your video for up to seven days.
It’s also possible to subscribe to keep video stored in the cloud for up to 30 days.
