coles5Coles has teamed up with Google in an Australian first to create a digital version of its new Broadway Store in Sydney complete with 360-degree digital imagery.

The Google Maps initiative now allows shoppers to experience a detailed tour of the store whether they standing in the store or not.

It also allows Coles shoppers to plan and prepare for their grocery shop at the new Broadway Store.

Coles has taken advantage of Google Business Photos which allows business owners to publish panoramic photos of the business interior on Google Maps.

Like Street View – which gives you a 360-degree virtual view of the outside world – Google Business Maps allows users to take a look around inside.

Now users can take a look around the Coles Broadway supermarket using Google Maps

In the case of the Coles Broadway store now you will know exactly where to find the eggs, tomato sauce and the corn flakes before you’ve even walked into the store.

Simon McDowell, Coles Marketing and Store Development Director, says, “Closely following the store’s relaunch, we have opened the digital doors of Coles Broadway.

“Coles Broadway is a demonstration of some of the most innovative retail features in the country and what better way to showcase this than through Google Business Photos.

Now you can plan your shop at Coles using Google Maps

“By visiting Google Maps, visitors can virtually step into the future of Coles stores and click through a typical customer journey at Coles Broadway.

“It also allows our Broadway customers to plan and prepare for their grocery shop with a level of detail, never before made possible.

“We are committed to creating unique and engaging store experiences for our customers and are open to the incredible possibilities and creative potential of virtual retail environments.”
