Panasonic has unveiled its 2019 the line-up of OLED and LED LCD TVs designed to give customers an incredible cinematic experience at home as Hollywood meant it to be.

Also revealed was a prototype TV – a transparent OLED TV which, when not in use revealed two shelves that were on the back of the TV.

This is Panasonic’s way of making the TV in the room fade into the back ground when not in use.

…. and in use

The new 2019 range includes the GZ2000 OLED Series – a new custom Professional Edition 4K OLED that has been optimised by leading Hollywood colourist Stefan Sonnenfeld.

Also onboard is a new HCX Pro Intelligent Processor which provides unmatched detail, impressive brightness and stunning colour accuracy.

The GZ2000 Series also includes the world’s first built-in upward-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos support with the audio system tune by Technics engineers.

The Panasonic OLED and LED LCD TV range all support HDR10+ technology as well as Dolby Vision and HLG which covers the broadest range of HDR (high dynamic range) on the market.

The Panasonic GZ2000 OLED TV

For more than 20 years, Panasonic has worked with leading Hollywood professionals with several leading colourists using the company’s OLED TVs on a daily basis as their large-format reference monitors.

The Panasonic Smart TV platform has also been improved across all OLED and LED LCD TV models.

The new My Home Screen 4.0 interface includes the most popular streaming apps including Netflix, Stan, Prime Video and YouTube so content can be accessed quickly and easily.

“Panasonic has once again raised the bar when it comes to delivering the ultimate Hollywood experience to the home,” says Josh Marshall, Category Manager, Home Entertainment, Panasonic.

The Panasonic GZ1500 OLED TV

“We’re proud of our 2019 TV range and confident that Australians will enjoy the enhancements made to offer the most cinematic TV on the market.

Panasonic has expanded its OLED TV range into three series – the GZ2000, the GZ1500 and the GZ1000.

All three series will be available in 65-inch screen sizes with the GZ1000 also available in 55-inch.

All televisions have been tuned by colourist Stefan Sonnenfeld to ensure a highly accurate and cinematic image.

Sonnenfeld was the colourist for some of the most popular films in recent years including A Star is Born, Wonder Woman, Star Wars The Force Awakens and Jurassic World.

The hero GZ2000’s Professional Edition 4K OLED panel has been specially customised by Panasonic R&D engineers with increased brightness levels and vastly-improved contrast for high-impact HDR content.

There are five new 4K LED LCD Series – the GX880, GX850, GX800, GX740 and GX600 – with the GX880 and the GX850 Series also including the HCX Pro Intelligent Processor.
