HMD revives the classic flip phone with the 2660 Flip to keep you connected but not distracted

HMD (Human Mobile Devices) has revived the classic flip phone and given it a modern spin with the release of its 2660 Flip to keep users connected but not distracted by social media and emails.

Priced at just $129, the HMD 2660 Flip has a retro look and feel and is ideal for older users who crave simplicity and large easy-to-read buttons while still offering a large display and decent battery life.

The device also has a dedicated emergency button which, when activated, will connect to an In Case of Emergency (ICE) contact.

The HMD 2660 Flip is also perfect for those looking for a digital detox so they can still be in touch If they’re away or want a weekend off.

The device can also serve as a great first phone for children which allows them to be contactable without making the leap to a complicated and expensive smartphone.

“The HMD 2660 Flip is a bold answer to always-on culture, pairing a sleek, mirrored clamshell design with just the essentials,” says Brenden Folitarik GM of Australia and Oceania for HMD.

“It encourages you to shut the lid, silence the noise, and reconnect with what really matters.”

Also on board the HMD 2660 Flip is Bluetooth 5.0, a 0.3MP camera with flash and torch, an FM radio, MP3 player and SD card support of up to 32GB.

The HMD 2660 Flip comes in three colours – Cosy Black, Twilight Violet and Raspberry Red and is priced at $129.
