LG has upgraded its home appliance AI capabilities with the launch of LG ThinQ AI to offer a more personalised and more proactive user experience from its range.
LG ThinQ AI will be showcased at the IFA 2025 tech show in Berlin this week and integrates LG ThinQ UP and ThinQ’s Care services and improves appliance management through AI and usage data analytics.
These AI-powered features will include tailored upgrades and performance optimisation based on how the customer uses the product.
ThinQ UP allows compatible appliances to inherit new features via software upgrades to ensure they stay up to date and able to cater for a customer’s changing needs and lifestyles.
ThinQ Care can also proactively predict potential malfunctions and issues before they happen by drawing on usage data and diagnostic tools to ensure the product will always work reliably.
Another benefit of ThinQ AI is energy efficiency.
Energy Saving Mode in LG’s range of washing machines helps lower household energy consumption while LG’s fridges reduce power usage with AI Saving Mode.
LG’s Fresh Keeper feature prevents clothes left in the machine from smelling or wrinkling while the fridge can adjust brightness at night and regulate the Smart Fill system to ensure precise pours through the water dispenser.
At IFA 2025, LG will be showcasing a range of appliances optimised with ThinQ AI and smart home lifestyle scenarios to show how these innovations improve everyday living.
“Our innovative ThinQ AI platform offers differentiated convenience and efficiency through continuous upgrades and intelligent, proactive care,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company.
“We are committed to creating an AI home experience that evolves in step with the changing needs of our customer.”
