Our smartphones enable us to order food, pay pals, discover the nearest coffee shop, and find the most efficient train route. We can assist others. Volunteering and social good are made simple by apps and websites. This article aims to expose you to websites and apps on your smartphone.

What Are These Trending Applications?

I’m using health applications to keep up with a healthy life.

Imagine having an application that helps check your activity and provides personalized diet and fitness suggestions – this keeps the doctor away and allows you to be more cautious of your health status. This list comprises a mix of social and health applications.

Tree Planet

What if the trees in your favorite mobile game could grow? More than 500,000 new trees have been planted worldwide due to Tree Planet’s four-year effort to turn virtual trees into actual ones. In the most recent edition, Tree Planet 3, you play to save a baby tree in danger; if you are successful, a real tree will be planted.

DoSomething

This app is for you if you’ve ever become depressed while watching the news and wish there was something you could do about it. DoSomething analyzes the information and offers quick, effective ways to change the world. You can participate in numerous initiatives to change the world, no matter what is now making you angry.

Feedie

Do you frequently Instagram your meals at restaurants? Through the Feedie app, you can turn this passion into a worthwhile endeavor by giving actual food to those in need. A participating restaurant will donate money to The Lunchbox Fund, a charity that feeds students in South Africa when you use Feedie to take a photo of your meal and post it. The limited selection of participating restaurants is a minor negative, but hopefully, there is one close to you.

ShareTheMeal

The United Nations’ app is another excellent tool for assisting hungry children. It allows you to fight hunger with just a tap of your finger and only costs 50 US cents to feed a child for a day. You can also check the app to see who you’re supporting and where your donations are going.

GlobalGiving

GlobalGiving is a platform grassroots organizations use to gather funds for various causes. The website has projects for everything from providing food aid in Guatemala to drilling wells in Nigeria for clean drinking water.

Users choose the particular project that interests them, donate, and then get email updates to see how their contribution is changing things. More than 500,000 individuals have contributed more than $175 million to GlobalGiving since 2002, funding 12,176 initiatives.

One Today

It can take a lot of effort and research to donate to organizations. Is the company legitimate? What will be done with the money? One Today, a new tool from Google seeks to simplify giving. The app curates cause to make it simple for users to identify the initiatives in which they are interested.

Users donate $1 to charities they care about each day. The app pairs users with a charity based on their interests and behavior on the platform. Then, they can post about their exercise on social media to inspire their loved ones to join them. Users of the app can also match the donations of their friends to have a bigger impact.

Be My Eyes

With the aid of the Be My Eyes app, blind persons can get the reading of labels, assistance navigating a strange train station, and other assistance they may require.

When a blind person needs help, the app notifies volunteers, who then respond. The blind person calls them to see if they are available to lend a hand. The aid can see what the blind user can’t and respond to their questions via live video chat. Users of the program who speak the same language are matched globally.

Pulse Point

According to the website of Pulse Point, just 11% of U.S. individuals who claim to have received CPR training have administered it in an emergency. The software intends to make use of adult users’ CPR expertise so they can assist victims in the area before an EMS team arrives.

The app warns trained bystanders of cardiac emergencies that may require CPR after the dispatch has been issued to the paramedics. After that, the app directs users to the victim and the closest AED so they can save their lives until paramedics arrive. The sooner sufferers receive CPR after a serious cardiac episode, the better their survival.

Pocket CPR

The British Heart Foundation created an app that enables anyone to learn and practice CPR, so they are prepared in an emergency. The app offers real-time feedback and instructions. Ideally, you won’t ever need to use this software, but if you do, it might be able to save lives.

Leadership Initiatives

To combat the issues of underdevelopment, Leadership Initiatives give communities the tools to take care of their needs. The program identifies leaders in underdeveloped and developing areas worldwide and trains them to develop business concepts, locate investors, and launch enterprises to solve pressing societal issues. It aspires to produce a resourceful generation of leaders in the long run.

Volunteers aid with fundraising, mentoring, training, and other endeavors. Virtual volunteering enables people to participate in initiatives and contribute to developing websites for new organizations at their convenience and without having to leave their homes.

Conclusion

Want to play your part in improving the world but need help figuring out where to begin? You may start making a difference in the world around you in many tiny ways, and all you need to get started is a smartphone.

Get rid of your game addiction and download these incredible apps to participate in the worldwide refugee crisis, fight global warming, and generate money for charity.
