lg2014curvedoled2LG has unveiled a first for the competitive Australian television market with a new curved TV that combines 4K Ultra High Definition with OLED technology.

Australia will be one of a handful of countries worldwide to receive the TVs which will be available in two sizes – 65-inch and 77-inch.

And not only do the TVs have a gentle curve with 4K UHD that has four times the resolution of a regular full HD TV – it also boast Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology.

OLED is a leap ahead of LED panels in terms of contrast, black levels, clarity and colour.

Combined with the added pixels of 4K UHD and the immersive curved panel, the new LG TVs present an unparalled viewing experience.

The new LG Smart TVs also come with the intuitive webOS, ultra surround sound and pixel response time of 0.002ms for the smoothest possible image.

“4K ULTRA HD has been an amazing development, but we are seeing something far more special here,” said Lambro Skropidis, General Manager Marketing at LG Australia.

The new LG Curved OLED 4K Ultra High Definition will be available in 65-inch and 77-inch

“By combining 4K ULTRA HD with OLED, LG really is offering some of the most advanced TV technology in the world to Australian audiences.

“We are confident that the sheer visual experience it offers will become the new benchmark for TV buffs, sports fans and movie-lovers alike.

“We also anticipate real appreciation amongst home designers and those that want their TV to be a piece of art – after all, this product is about stunning picture quality as well as the aesthetic lines of its construction.”

The LG 65-inch and 77-inch 4K UHD curved OLED TVs will be priced at $9,999 and $22,999 respectively and will be available in selected outlets before the end of the year.
