Mirror, mirror on the wall, which is the best smart device of all? The Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror from Kohler would have to come close. It is powered by Amazon Alexa so you can use your voice to do your shopping, play music and receive traffic updates as you get ready in the morning.
The Verdera was on show at the Consumer Electronics Show and is part of the Kohler Konnect portfolio of smart home products.
The product has built-in voice-controlled and dimmable LED lighting which can be adjusted up to 1000 lux to give you plenty of light to get yourself ready.
There’s also a motion activated light so there’s no fumbling in the dark looking for the light switch in the middle of the night.
The Verdera makes it easy to multitask so you can listen to traffic conditions, add to your shopping list and hear the latest news while you’re shaving or putting on your make-up.
Under the hood is a dual microphone which has been optimised for accurate voice control along with embedded speakers in a sealed casing for stereo sound quality.
Kohler’s Verdera also works with its other products that can make it possible to tell the mirror to start the bath or start the shower.
We were also told it was possible to adapt this mirror for the kitchen to provide voice control to your appliances as well.
The Kohler Verdera Voice Lighted Mirror is available in three widths – 24-inch, 34-inch and 40-inch. They are all 33-inches high.
