MG Motor has opened pre-sales for another affordable EV for Australian drivers – it’s the MG4 hatchback and it will be priced at under $50,000.
The MG4 Essence offers 150kW of power with a range of up to 435 kilometres on a single charge.
This is the first MG model to use the new Modular Scalable Platform which will form the foundation of MG’s next generation all electric vehicles.
MG4 also includes the new MG Pilot advanced driver assistance system which includes automatic emergency braking, speed assistance system, rear traffic alerts, lane keep assistance, adaptive cruise control and intelligent high beam control.
It also has automatic LED headlights and rear lights along with rear parking sensors and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The onboard 64 kWh battery can be charged to 80 per cent in an hour using a 50kW DC rapid charger.
The MG4 EV range has a 2,705mm wheelbase and has exceptional storage, interior and boot space despite its compact exterior dimensions.
Orders for the new MG4 are now open through MG’s national dealer network. It will be priced at $47,990 plus on-road costs.
