Samsung’s rumoured Note8 smartphone will have a dual-lens camera system
The likelihood Samsung will produce a Note8 increased considerably this week with new reports surfacing stating the device will feature a next-generation dual lens camera system.
The Korean Herald has reported that Samsung is likely to adopt dual cameras for the Galaxy Note8.
The report said Samsung didn’t go with the dual lens camera on the Galaxy S8 because of a cost issue.
But it now seems likely the feature will be included in the Note 8 which could be released as soon as Q3.
Dual lens cameras have become a feature of most of the recent flagship smartphones including the Huawei P10, Huawei Mate 9, LG G6 and iPhone 7 Plus.
The issues with the Note7 are well-documented but after a thorough investigation the problem was identified as not one, but two, battery defects.
As a result, Samsung initiated an eight-point battery check on all new devices moving forward.
But now with the fallout of the Note7 recall behind them, Samsung has bounced back with the release of its new flagship device, the Galaxy S8.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ devices have been a runaway success after unprecedented pre-orders and positive reviews.
Samsung producing a successful, and safe, Galaxy Note8 would make the world’s number one smartphone manufacturer’s comeback complete.
