iStyle remote camera button lets you take control of your selfies

The goal of getting that perfect selfie just got a lot easier with the release of the iStyle Remote Camera Smart Button that can control your iPhone’s camera.

The device links wirelessly to the iPhone or iPad with Bluetooth and works with a free iStyle app from the App Store.

Once connected, the iStyle camera remote can activate the shutter on the camera when you’re ready without having to hold your iPhone at arm’s length.

But the device can perform a few more functions on top of just activating the shutter.

The top sync button used to link your device over Bluetooth also comes in to play to access the added features.

Hold the sync button down and you can zoom in and out or push it once to switch between the front and rear cameras.

Images and videos are saved into the iPhone’s camera roll as well as within the iStyle app itself.

The iStyle remote will work within the usual 10m range of Bluetooth and is small enough to fit in your pocket.

It has a small loop to hang on the included lanyard cord or to fit on your keyring so it can always be with you.

The iStyle Remote Camera Smart Button is available in black or white and is priced at $34.95.

It will be available from Apple’s online store from next week.
