Alcatel 3T 10 Audio Station review – tablet and speaker offer great experience and value

The Alcatel 3T 10 Audio Station offers a remarkable entertainment experience but even more remarkable value at just $342.

Alcatel has always been a brand that offers great value and its latest product – the 3T 10 Audio Station – delivers once again. It includes both a 10-inch tablet and a Bluetooth speaker for the one low price.

The Alcatel 3T 10 Audio Station includes a 10-inch high definition tablet and a Bluetooth speaker that acts as the charging stand as well.

It is priced at just $324 and available now from Telstra.

When connected users can enjoy an immersive cinematic experience at home and on the move.

And, of course, each product can be used separately as well – a tablet to enjoy content and apps on the go and a Bluetooth speaker to stream your music.

The tablet is running Android 9.0 and also Google Assistant pre-installed so while it’s sitting in the stand – it can act as a smart speaker for even more versatility.

The Alcatel tablet has a 10-inch IPS (in-plane switching) display with a 800 x 1200 resolution.

The device, which weighs 455g, is powered by a quad-core processor with a 4,080mAh battery on board that can run for up to 8 hours.

It also has three microphones so you can be easily heard when talking to Google Assistant.

The Alcatel tablet has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage but it does have a microSD card slot to expand the memory further.

And there is also room for a SIM card  so you can be connected to the Telstra 4G network anywhere.

The Alcatel Bluetooth speaker has two 5W drivers under the hood to deliver impressive audio quality whether it’s your favourite songs or the soundtrack to the movie you’re watching on the tablet.

The versatile speaker, which weighs just 413g, has a foldaway dock with a pogo pin that can charge the tablet so it always has power when you need it.

It did take us a little while to line up the pins on the speaker with the contacts on the tablet at first but we got the hang of it pretty quickly.

Adding a magnet to help lock it in place would have helped.

On the back is a flip out stand so it can support the tablet and position it at an angle that is easy to view from anywhere.

It also has an AUX IN jack to connect other audio devices and 2000mAh battery they can run for up to 7 hours on its own.

And when you want to use the speaker on its own, the dock and the stand both foldaway so it looks like a regular portable Bluetooth speaker.

The devices work brilliantly apart but when they are brought together they offer an excellent entertainment experience.
