Magellan releases new range of GPS cycling computers

cyclo100Well-known GPS company Magellan has just released its first range of dedicated cycling computers which are suitable for every day riders and professionals.

With Magellan’s experience in the GPS space, the Cyclo series have a high sensitivity GPS receiver that can measure all aspects of the ride including time, speed, distance, altitude, cadence and calories burned.

The Cyclo devices have a compact and sleek design with a rugged waterproof casing so they are OK to use in any weather conditions.

They have a 1.8-inch anti-glare screen along with a long-life 18-hour battery.

The display is customisable and allows for up to six measurements to be seen at once.

Cyclo can utilise its GPS functionality for a backtrack function so riders can easily follow a path back to their starting point and not get lost.

The Magellan Cyclo 105 cycling computer

Users can also choose whether they want to see their data in portrait or landscape mode and the device can also be mounted in either configuration.

The Cyclo 105 and 105HC models also come with a built-in ANT+ sensor with the 105HC including a heart-rate monitor and cadence/speed sensor kit.

After your ride it is easy to upload your data to a computer using the Magellan desktop tool and then shared with other sites like MapMyRide, Strava, TrainingPeaks and Magellan Active.

The Cyclo 100 is priced at $149, Cyclo 105 is $179 with the Cyclo 105HC at $279.

The Magellan Cyclo series will be available through major retailers at the end of April.
