Garmin unveils Approach S3 Golf GPS watch
Garmin is already well known for its golf GPS products and now they’ve introduced another but this time it’s packed into a sports watch.
The Approach S3 is a stylish sports watch that comes with more than 27,000 worldwide golf courses pre-loaded onto the device.
It has a touch screen display to give players quick and easy access to the S3’s many features including green view, your digital scorecard and hole information.
The Approach S3’s touchscreen is even glove-friendly which means it will be just as responsive if you touch the screen with your golf glove on.
The device is waterproof and has a 2.5cm screen to make it easy to view the information at a glance.
The high resolution display can also be easily read even in bright sunlight.
Players can view information on the device including precise yardages to the front, back and middle of the green as well as distances to doglegs and other hazards on the hole.
There are also lay-up distances to help golfers play safe especially if they are playing on a course for the first time.
It’s also possible to measure the distance of your shots with each particular club to make club selection even easier as your round progresses.
Green View, as its name suggests, gives players a precise view of the size and shape of the green.
Players can touch and drag the flag to replicate the same pin position on the green for that day.
And the beauty of the Approach S3 is all of that information is right there on your wrist.
The device has an eight-hour battery life so users will easily fit in a full day’s play on a single charge.
Available in May for $399, the Garmin Approach S3 is available in white with a red trim and black with a red trim. Users can also select to view either a black or white screen background.
