Canon’s new PowerShot N – the social media camera

powershotn4Canon has revealed the new ultra compact PowerShot N which includes built-in wi-fi and has been described as a social media camera.

Available in limited quantities from Ted’s Camera Stores, the PowerShot N has a small, square body that can give social media photo sharers a higher quality option for capturing their images.

The 12.1-megapixel camera is small enough to fit on your pocket and measures 7.7cm by 6cm and is 2.9cm thick when the screen and lens are closed.

The device has an 8x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation and can also shoot full high definition video.

It also includes Creative Shot – a mode which analyses the picture and offers a range of creative filters and elements.

Users can also access other modes like Miniature Effect, Soft Mode, Toy Camera Effect and Monochrome.

But this device is all about sharing and can connect directly to smartphones and tablets to upload their images and videos to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube on the go.

Users can also add location information for their images from their GPS-enabled smartphone.

The Canon PowerShot N has a 2.8-inch foldable touchscreen

Like a smartphone, the Canon PowerShot N can be held in any way and will always show the image the right way up.

The 2.8-inch touchscreen provides an easy and intuitive way to access all of the on-board features and USB charging means you can power it up on the move.

The Canon PowerShot N is available now from Ted’s Camera Stores and is priced at $399.95.
