Panasonic Toughpad is the world’s most rugged and secure Android tablet

Tablets are so popular we like taking them everywhere with us but not every tablet can handle the rugged outdoors. One that definitely can is the Panasonic FZ-A1 Toughpad.

The Toughpad is an Android tablet with a 10.1-inch screen that’s designed to be even more rugged than your average device.

This is thanks to a rigid body that can handle 1.2m drops and is sealed against water and dust.

The FZ-A1 also has a heat-treated glass display which can withstand high impacts.

And because the device is meant to be used outside it has a screen that is easy to read in bright sunlight.

Toughpad also ships with a stylus to allow users to accurately capture information like drawings or signatures.

Also onboard is satellite based GPS along with 3G connectivity so it can connect virtually anywhere.

Panasonic’s Toughpad has all the functionality of a regular Android tablet but with enhanced protection from not only physical dangers but also from thieves and hackers.

Onboard the Toughpad is a security processor so protection is embedded at the hardware level and protects the device against hackers and the loss of sensitive information.

The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-A1 is perfect for the outdoor workers in areas like construction, emergency services, field sales or for anyone who is exposed to extreme environments and tough conditions.

“Combined with mobile 3G broadband connectivity, the Android-based Toughbook tablet will offer quick access to applications and data that could significantly improve a field worker’s ability to make critical decisions that enhance customer service, improve response times and deliver results,” Hornsby said.

The Panasonic Toughpad is available now and is priced at $1,499.
