Kogan releases affordable new 3D printer
3D printing has just been brought into the reach of everyday consumers with the release of the affordable XYZ da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer for well under $1000.
The XYZ da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer is a plug and play 3D printer designed for households and small businesses.
And it’s priced at just $699 – easily the most affordable 3D printer in Australia and the first to be priced under $1000.
The device can print objects 20 per cent larger than other 3D printers in its class with a maximum build size of 20cm x 20cm x 20cm.
Also onboard are easy-to-install refillable filament cartridges that are available in 12 different colours.
The printing area on the XYZ da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer is actually enclosed to protect users from the high temperatures needed to create the objects and to keep the printing by-products within the printing area.
Users also have access to a cloud database of thousands of 3D models which can be customised before being printed.
The 3D printer comes with easy-to-use software so users can choose their design and the colour before watching the object being created before their eyes.
Objects that can be printed include toys, homewares, gifts and other objects.
The XYZ da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer has a 100-micron lay resolution so it can create some fine and detailed items.
The XYZ da Vinci 1.0 3D Printer is available for pre-order here and is priced at $699 plus delivery.
