Modern technology gives us many things.

Expand your network with the Linksys 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch

linksysswitch5With the number of wired connections we have in our homes on the rise, one easy way to expand is with the Linksys WRT 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch.

The networking peripheral has a similar look and design as the Linksys Wireless AC Dual Band Wireless Router and can be stacked below to reduce the clutter.

But the Linksys SE4008 Ethernet switch can also be used with other routers as well to expand your home network.

On the rear panel are eight Gigabit Ethernet ports to physically connect your devices like a smart TV, gaming console, Blu-ray Disc player, set-top-box or hard drive.

One port needs to be used to connect to your router but that still leaves seven ports to choose from.

Onboard is QoS (Quality of Service) which can prioritise your network’s traffic like audio and video streaming for optimal performance from your router.

Another feature – Auto Sensing Ports – is like a traffic controller to your connected devices to maximise data flow.

And when a connected device is turned or not in use the Linksys SE4008 places that port into power-saving mode.

Set-up is as easy as plugging the device into power and connecting your devices. There is no software to download or install.

And it’s easy to see which devices are switched on and connected with the indicator lights on the front of the Linksys switch.

The Linksys 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch can be stacked below the Linksys wireless AC Router

The Linksys SE4008 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch will be available at the end of October from JB Hi-Fi and will be priced at $99.95.
