Print from anywhere with Canon’s new Pixma MX printers
The all-new Pixma range of inkjet printers from Canon boast improved connectivity, performance, quality and ease of use.
There are five new printers – MX376, MX436, MX516, MX715 and MX895 – in Canon’s new Pixma MX colour inkjet range with new features to enhance the creativity and productivity options.
The all-in-one devices can print, copy, scan and fax with an auto document feeder for double sided copying and scanning.
Connectivity options have also expanded with wi-fi, Ethernet and USB options.
Four of the five Canon printers have wi-fi and Ethernet connectivity to make them a part of your network.
This allows the printer to be conveniently located in a home or office and be accessed by multiple computers on the same network.
This is a handy way to set up a printer at home especially if you have school-aged children who can then output their files wireless to one central printer.
Some of the new models (MX516, MX715 and MX895) also allow for printing directly off a USB device or a memory while PictBridge-compatible Canon printers (MX436, MX516, MX715 and MX895) allow for high quality images to be printed directly from a digital camera.
In the top-of-the-line MX895, users will also find Pixma CloudLink.
This feature, which also incorporates Google’s Cloud Print, allows users to send a Google Docs or any other content stored in the cloud to the printer from anywhere using a web-connected device.
With so many of us taking photos on our smartphones being able to print them off the device has been difficult.
Not anymore with Canon’s Easy PhotoPrint feature for iPhone and Android device which allow for direct printing of not only photographs but also documents and other files.
Printing quality has also gone to the next level with the MX895 and MX715 with a resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi (dots per inch) and using five-colour ink system.
And they’re fast too with a 6 x 4 photo able to be printed in 20 seconds.
The MX376, MX436, MX516 offer a resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi and can produce a 6 x 4 image in 46 seconds.
There are also a number of new creative possibilities available with the new Pixma MX printers including the ability to merge and print multiple frames into one and fun filter effects.
