On demand movies added to the Foxtel Go iPad app

The already impressive Foxtel Go app for the iPad just got even better with news viewers will be able to watch the latest movies on demand anywhere.

Now subscribers can view full-length movies on the go using a wi-fi connection or over 3G/4G when they’re out and about.

The movie choices will reflect the channels being offered on Foxtel and is divided into several new channels including showcase, Foxtel Movies Premiere, Foxtel Movies Action/Adventure, Foxtel Movies Comedy, Foxtel Movies Drama/Romance, Foxtel Movies Family, Foxtel Movies Thriller/Crime, Foxtel Movies Masterpiece.

Some of the movies on offer will include The Descendants, Coming to America, We Bought a Zoo, Puss In Boots, Hugo and many more.

TV shows, which can also be watched on demand on showcase, will include Game of Thrones Season 2, Girls Season 2, True Blood Season 4 and Boardwalk Empire Season 4.

The movies join the existing content available on the iPad Foxtel Go app including live channels and on demand TV content from channels including FOX8, A&E, SoHo, The LifeStyle Channel, SKY NEWS, Channel [V] and National Geographic Channel, Discovery.

Foxtel’s Executive Director of Product, Jim Rudder said, “We promised more content and from today all Foxtel Go customers with the Movies subscription package will see the new On Demand movies available in their Foxtel Go app.

“The movies will be automatically added in the Catch Up section.”

Next month the Foxtel Go app will be available on iPhone and iPod Touch with PC, Mac and Android versions to follow soon after.
