Sony partners with Ten for catch-up TV service

ten-logoSony and Channel TEN have formed a partnership to launch a new catch up TV service for Sony’s new connected Blu-ray players and smart TVs.

The service goes live in June and will make Sony the first TV manufacturer to offer a catch up service for TEN.

The offering will be free and allow viewers to watch programs on-demand including Bondi Vet, The Graham Norton Show and The Bolt Report.

TEN’s catch up service on Sony’s smart TVs and connected devices joins existing catch-up services from free-to-air channels like ABC, SBS and Seven.

Sony’s products also offer content from the Sony Entertainment Network including music and movies on demand.

“Network Ten is delighted to be launching its first smart TV catch-up service with Sony,” said Vincent Dempsey, Head of Digital Media at Network Ten.

“It delivers on Ten’s goal to allow its viewers to watch TEN shows on any device of their choice.

“TEN was first to market with iPhone and Android mobile catch-up offerings and with the growth of the Smart TV market this initiative ensures TEN can continue to deliver on this goal.”
