Hisense has announced its 2021 ULED TV range which will include the company’s very first ULED 8K TV and featuring AI-powered upscaling, smart features and hands free control.
The Hisense ULED 8K TV will be available in 65, 75 and 85-inch models through retailers across Australia from February.
The first model on offer will be 75-inches and it will be priced at $6999.
The first Hisense 8K TV – the U80G – is 8K Ultra HD certified and is loaded with sound and image technologies including Quantum Dot Colour, Full Array Dimming Pro, Dolby vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.
Under the 8K hood is Hisense’s proprietary Hi-View Engine Pro which utilises artificial intelligence to recognise and upscale lower resolution content to near 8K quality from a variety of content sources.
This also includes live TV, streamed content and even games which are upscaled to 8K resolution to provide the highest quality viewing experience.
The Hisense 8K ULED TV will also be running the Android operating system.
“8K is an incredibly exciting innovation and we are very proud to introduce the new Hisense ULED 8K TV, which uses sophisticated, AI-powered upscaling technology to elevate and optimise image quality no matter the source, be that free-to-air TV, streaming or gaming,” says Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia.
“With its optimised upscaling capabilities, the TV generates images with impeccable, true-to-life detail, and together with its advanced audio features, creates an at-home viewing experience that is truly spectacular.
“We look forward to seeing it in Australian homes this February.”
In 2021 Hisense will also be introducing a new range of 4K ULED TVs that also boasts Quantum Dot Colour, Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos audio with screen sizes up to 98 inches.
The TVs have also received the IMAX enhanced certification which can only be received if the 4K TV meets additional requirements in terms of performance, resolution, colour brightness, contrast and sound capabilities.
The new Hisense TVs also feature Game Mode Pro which is sure to be embraced by next generation gamers.
This mode includes HDMI 2.1 for 8K passthrough as well as variable refresh rate, auto low latency mode for an even smoother and more responsive experience and eARC for the highest quality audio transmission.
The Hisense 2021 4K ULED TVs will introduce the new and faster VIDAA U5 operating system which will include access to Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa so users can take complete control with their voice without the need for a third party smart device.
Far field microphone technology will pick up commands from across the room and eliminate the need to hold down a microphone button on a remote.
“Our 2021 ULED TV range is all about giving Australians access to some of the highest quality TV technologies and features available,” Iannuzzi added.
“We’re not just talking about those at the top of the range – from our ULED 8K TV offering through to our ULED 4K models, Australians can enjoy the likes of Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos Audio, eARC, VRR, HDMI 2.1 and far-field voice control.”
