Foxtel Play now available on LG smart TVs
Foxtel has announced its new Foxtel Play internet TV service will now be available on compatible 2013 LG smart TVs.
Now LG’s smart TV owners can view enjoy Foxtel’s pay TV packages without the need for a separate set top box.
The service is delivered via their broadband connection to the screen with the Foxtel Play app.
LG smart TVs now join Samsung smart TVs, the Xbox 360 and PC and Mac computers that are compatible with the Foxtel Play internet TV service.
Foxtel Play allows customers to view content as soon as they sign up to the service which starts at $25 per month with no lock-in contracts.
Customers can stop and start their subscription at any time and even adjust their subscription to suit their circumstances.
For example, users may opt for the sports package during the football season or decide to add viewing packages to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.
Viewers can choose from four genre-based packages – entertainment, drama, documentaries and kids – which together includes more than 45 live channels.
These packages includes some of the most popular Foxtel channels including Fox 8, LifeStyle, TV1, SoHo, FX, National Geographic Channel, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Disney.
It costs $25 for one package, $35 for two, $45 for three and $50 for four.
There are also two Premium Picks – sports or movies and premium drama – which can be added for an added $25 a month and bring with them channels including Fox Sports, ESPN, Showcase and the range of movie channels.
Anyone who subscribes via Foxtel Play will also have access to Foxtel Go to view live and catch-up channels on two additional devices like iPads, iPhones and selected Samsung Android device anywhere in Australia.
