Virgin Mobile doubles the data on mobile plans
Virgin Mobile has announced a new offer to double the data allowance for customers who take up $60 and $90 plans until May 11, 2014.
The $60 plan includes $700 of value, unlimited standard texts and 1.5GB of data which now doubles to 3GB.
For an additional $7 a month users can add a Samsung Galaxy S4 to the plan.
Calls are charged at $2.36 for a two minutes call and excess data is charged at 20.5 cents/MB.
On the $90 customers can choose from an iPhone 5S, Galaxy S4 or Sony Xperia Z1 for $0 a month and enjoy unlimited calls and texts within Australia and then go from 3GB of data to 6GB thanks to the double data deal.
Data is becoming a more important component of mobile plans with customers wanting to access the internet, engage with social media and use apps on their device.
It is also possible to use that data to make audio and video calls to preserve their call allowance.
The Virgin Mobile Double Data offer is available now and will run until May 11.
