Telstra to offer mobile usage alerts from today
Other recent changes in this direction include bills which are clearer and easier to understand and the launch of the My Plan Manager portal which allows customers to check their mobile data usage at any time.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to get the most out of their Freedom Connect plans and this initiative aims to give them greater certainty and control,” said Telstra consumer marketing director Maryanne Tsiastias.
Cap plans may provide some certainty for a customer’s monthly mobile spend but keeping track of data, call and SMS usage can be difficult.
These new usage alerts will go a long way towards helping Telstra customers keep track of their accounts and avoid bill shock.
From today, all eligible Telstra customers will receive an introductory SMS which will explain this new customer service enhancement.
