Samsung’s Galaxy Ace available now with Telstra

Samsung’s new Galaxy Ace smartphone has arrived in Australia and is available now exclusively on the Telstra Next G network.

The Android powered device has a 3.5-inch touchscreen and 5 megapixel camera with LED flash.

Galaxy Ace also features the popular Swype typing that allows users to type by joining all the letters without lifting their finger of the screen.  

Also on board the device is Google voice search and turn-by-turn navigation powered by Navigon.

The sleek device is 112.4mm long, 59.9mm wide and just 11.5mm thick and is running an 800Mhz processor.

The Samsung Galaxy AceOnboard memory is only 150MB but it does ship with a 2GB microSD card which can swapped out for a larger capacity card if needed.

On top of the Android’s 2.2 Froyo system is the Samsung TouchWiz user interface.

TouchWiz includes Social Hub which can gather all of your social networking feeds into one place.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is available now for $0 upfront for $59 a month over 24 months on a plan which includes $550 worth of included monthly calls and 1.5GB of data.

The device can also be purchased outright for $528.
