Microsoft calls for Windows Phone 7 developers
Windows Phone 7 launched late last year and offers a sleek and fast operating mobile operating system which has a customisable home screen to connect users with the features that are important to them.
These include email, Facebook and Windows Live feeds, Internet Explorer Mobile and connecting to your Xbox Live account through the Games Hub.
There are already touchscreen devices from LG, Samsung and HTC which are running Windows Phone 7.
These are HTC 7 Trophy (Vodafone); HTC 7 Mozart (Telstra); LG Optimus 7Q which has a slide out keyboard; (Telstra); LG Optimus 7 (Optus) and Samsung Omnia 7 (pictured left, Optus).
Developers who want to enter their applications can enter their details on Microsoft’s website.
Entries close on February 28.
