Dick Smith starts Boxing Day sales early with smartphone app
If you want to avoid the Boxing Day queues this year you can download the Dick Smith app and starting shopping easier and earlier with your smartphone.
The Dick Smith app, available now for iOS and Android, makes it possible for customers to shop directly from catalogues and print ads by scanning a barcode.
Dick’s Smith’s sale items in its Boxing Day advertising will feature these scan-to-buy codes to so you can bypass the checkouts and queues.
And you don’t even have to wait until Boxing Day to get cracking. Dick Smith will be launching its discounts from today – Christmas Eve – at 6pm.
“We want to offer customers a way to shop that best suits their needs, whether that’s in store, online, via Click and Collect or now via our mobile app,” says Dick Smith CEO Nick Abboud.
“For the first time this year, Dick Smith customers can now choose to skip the checkout line completely on Boxing Day.
“Instead of spending time in a queue, they can pick up a flyer in store, go have a coffee, put their feet up and make their Boxing Day purchases from their mobile phone.
“We know our customers love picking up a Boxing Day bargain and are very proud to offer a range of new ways they can do that.
“Of course, for those who still prefer the in-store shopping experience and want to take their purchases home straight away, we’ll have plenty of Boxing Day sale items available in stores.”
Some of the Boxing Day specials from Dick Smith will include:
* Navman MY350LT 5-inch GPS – normally $249 – now $124.
* Dick Smith 31.5-inch HD LED LCD TV – normally $268 – now $198
* 10 per cent off all Apple Computers
* Up to 20 per cent off Acer, Toshiba and ASUS laptops
* 10 per cent off Samsung Tab 3 tablets
