Optus offers 50GB free broadband on mobile and home phone plans

optus20thumbOptus has launched an aggressive new offer to win more customers with 50GB of free home broadband on a range of mobile and home phone plans.

Users who sign up for an $89 Timeless Mobile Plan for 24 months will get the 50GB home broadband as a bonus.

The 50GB of free home broadband is also available to customers who take up the $59.95 Optus Home Advantage Plan and businesses that sign up to the $89 Business Timeless Plan.

This offer means Optus customers can stay connected on the go on their smartphones and at home on their fixed broadband.

“Optus revolutionised the fixed broadband market in 2007 with Australia’s first ‘yes’ Fusion home broadband bundle,” said Anthony Shiner, Optus Director of Fixed.

“Today we take this a step further driving mobile lead convergence by giving our customers free fixed broadband as included value for the first time.

“Optus has a long history of delivering high value products and services and 50GB of free home broadband per month with mobile or home phone plans is a radical move for us and the industry.”

The $89 Timeless Mobile Plan and $89 Business Timeless Plan includes unlimited calls and SMS and 2GB while the $59.95 Optus Home Advantage has unlimited standard local, national and 13/1300 calls with no additional line rental charged.

The free 50GB home broadband is now included free with these plans.

“This revolutionary free broadband offer is just the first of many initiatives from Optus to ensure our customers know we’re looking out for them,” Mr Shiner added.
