Finding a quote to get a job done in your home or business can be a labour intensive process as you try and line up some quotes and hope they show up.

But a new online service has changed all that and now businesses can bid for your work. can save you hours by posting your job online or through the new dedicated iPhone app.  

The services that can be accessed through the site include everything from accounting and plumbing to gardening and weddings.

There’s also building, catering, legal services and pest control among many other services on offer.

There are already thousands of service providers registered with and no job it too small or too large.

Posting your job is free and is as simple as describing what you need done, listing your suburb or postcode and providing a few details about the job.

Once you’ve submitted that information the job is shopped around to service providers so they can assess the job and provide a quote.

These quotes are then sent back to the customer to give them the option of choosing the one that suits theirs needs and their budget.

Customers can read feedback from previous jobs and see the level of service being offered.

Now, in addition to the website, has also created a free iPhone app.

This has made submitting jobs even easier because customers can even take pictures of the job with their iPhone before submitting them.

The app is also handy to check the bids which have been sent for their jobs while they’re out and about.

The app can also be used to take pictures of the job being submitted uses an intelligent matching system to find businesses that match the requirements of the job.

The site was created by two Sydney entrepreneurs who met at University – Marcus Lim, 26, and Adam Dong, 24 – who had a vision to transform the service industry.
