If you’re thinking about buying a Nintendo DSi or DSi XL then you might want to wait till next week when the prices come down by $50.

The popular handheld consoles have sold more then 3 million units in Australia since the original launch back in 2005.

From June 30, the DSi will drop from $249.95 to $199.95 while the DSi XL comes down from $299.95 to $249.95.

The Nintendo DSi was introduced in 2009 and included two cameras, a memory card slot and a microphone with larger LCD screens in a slimmer unit.

The DSi XL came along in 2010 and took the experience to a whole new level with a screen that was 93 per cent larger than the DSi.

The DSi XL also offered pre-installed games like Clubhouse Games and Brain Training for the first time so they can be played right out of the box.
