rednintendo3ds23DS launch

Nintendo’s new 3D portable gaming device will finally make it to Australia in March.

The Nintendo 3DS offers 3D images and gameplay without the need to wear glasses.

There is even a slider switch which allows players to adjust the depth of 3D with also the ability to switch 3D off.

Already completed and timed to coincide with the Australian 3DS launch are several games including EA’s award-winning The Sims 3.

Players can even create a 3D version of themselves in The Sims 3 thanks to the facial recognition technology built in to the Nintendo 3DS.

The 3DS also has two outer cameras spaced apart just like the human eyes to capture 3D photos to view on the device’s upper 3D screen.

Other games which will be 3DS compatible include Nintendogs + Cats, Super Street Fighter IV, PilotWings Resort, Steel Diver, Asphalt 3D, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
