On the health side, customers will be able to gather meaningful insights around the clock to help them increase their health and wellbeing.
The focus this year is on helping customers enjoy better sleep by giving them a daily score and helping them build better habits and a more sleep friendly environment.
The Sleep Score is determined by a number of factors including total sleep time, sleep cycle and awake time.
Use of more individualised information gives users the chance to learn about their sleep each day.
On the sleep coaching side, users can receive tailored instructions and tips along with reminders with it’s time to go to bed.
Sleep Mode also looks at your watch and phone to mute notifications and dim screens when you’re getting ready to go to sleep.
On the fitness side, the Body Composition feature can look at key measurements like skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body water and body fat percentage and provide a snapshot of your body and fitness level before offering a tailored approach to set your personal fitness goals.
A new fitness feature is the Personalised Heart Rate Zone which can offer five optical running intensity levels to keep up with your goals whether it’s burning fat while increasing your fitness.
The new Samsung watches can also measure your blood pressure and have electrocardiogram monitoring and offer an alert if you have an unusually high or low heart rate.
Fall detection is also incorporated in the Watch6 and Watch6 Classic which can alert an emergency number or a pre-selected contact in the event of a fall.
