Polls paint a picture of Tech Guide readers
A new digital camera was at the top of the list for tech shoppers with 33.3 per cent of respondents while TVs came in second with 24.2 per cent of the vote.
Next on the list was a new computer (18.2 per cent), mobile phone (12.1 per cent), GPS (6.1 per cent) and MP3 and digital radio (both 3 per cent).
When it came to the brand of mobile phone Tech Guide readers were using, Apple’s iPhone came out on top with 35.8 per cent of the vote.
Nokia was a close second with 30.4 per cent, followed by Samsung (10.8 per cent), HTC (7.8 per cent), BlackBerry (7.4 per cent), LG and Sony Ericsson (both 2.9 per cent) and Motorola (4 per cent).
There was no surprise to see 35.8 per cent of Tech Guide readers access the site using Internet Explorer.
Firefox came in at number two with 30.8 per cent while Google’s Chrome gained 19.2 per cent of the vote.
Apple’s Safari web browser with fourth with 12.5 per cent.
