Interactive fitness platform Peloton has launched in Australia to offer studio style workouts in the comfort of your own home with the company’s specialised fitness equipment including the Peloton bike and the Peloton treadmill.
Founded in New York and now with more than 4.4 million members worldwide, Peloton’s full portfolio includes two Bike options and two Tread options.
For its Australian debut, set for the second half of 2021, Peloton will be releasing the original Peloton Bike and the Peloton Bike+ which offers cardio and strength training in conjunction with the Peloton app.
The Peloton app provides content across more than 10 fitness disciplines including indoor cycling, running (outdoor and indoor), cardio, strength, yoga and more.
Australian customers will have access to thousands of workouts with real-time motivation and playlists from artists including The Beatles and Beyonce.
Peloton will open interactive showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne where customers will be able to try and purchase the Peloton Bike and Peloton Bike+.
These retail locations will give customers the opportunity to experience Peloton first hand and find out more about the live studio experience.
Customers will also be able to purchase the Peloton bikes online.
“Health, fitness and sport is a central part of Australia’s DNA, which is why it was a natural decision to launch Peloton in Australia as our first foray into the Asia Pacific region,” said Kevin Cornils, Managing Director, International for Peloton.
“Our global growth is fuelled by our passionate, growing community of over 4.4 million Members who choose Peloton as their go-to fitness solution, anytime, anywhere.
“We cannot wait to share more details in the coming months about how Australians can experience what has become a global fitness phenomenon.”
The Peloton Bike and Peloton Bike+ will be priced at $2,895 and $3,695 respectively.
The all-access membership to access Peloton content using the Peloton Bike and Peloton Bike+ will be $59 a month.
