The new Xiaomi Mi is a portable air pump to top up your car and bike tyres

The Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Compressor is a handy companion for drivers and riders – it can top up your car tyre air pressure as well as pump motorcycle and bike tyres and balls.

The unit, which is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, allows users to check their tyre pressure and top it up If needed.

Priced at just $99, the Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Compressor does not require any external power so you can carry it and use it anywhere.

The front display shows the desired pressure which can be set using the directional controls so you choose PSI or BAR and move through the pump modes to suit a car, bicycle, motorcycle and a ball.

The + and – keys allow the user to set the right pressure.

The screen comes to life when the nozzle is released from the red storage port on the left.

The nozzle screws securely to your tyres nozzle and its compatible with most nozzles on tyres and balls.

It’s as easy as screwing on nozzle tube to the tyre’s nozzle and simply pressing the centre button.

The Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Compressor then goes to work and you can hear the internal compressor doing its thing.

It take a few minutes to finish the top up. With our testing we wanted to take our tyre from 36 PSI to 42 PSI and it took about five minutes.

Then when we were done, we unscrewed the nozzle and placed it back into it the storage port which turns the unit off.

Also on board is an LED light at the top of the unit so you can still use the Mi Portable Air Compressor at night if necessary.

It has a built-in 2000mAh rechargeable battery that can recharged through a microUSB port on the base of the unit.

It provides enough power to pump up 41 size 5 footballs. It can pump up a football in one minute.

The Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Compressor is a handy device for any driver or rider and is small enough to fit in a glovebox or bag.
