Hit the road with new Garmin touchscreen GPS watch
The touchscreen can handle all weather conditions including rain and sweat and it can even be operated when wearing running gloves.
On board is a new Virtual Racer which allows runners to compete against their previous best times using data stored on the watch.
Virtual Racer can also offer runners the chance to compete against other runners once data is downloaded from the Garmin Connect community.
If used with a heart rate monitor strap the Forerunner 610 experience is stepped up a gear.
Vibration controls come into play for alerts when monitoring heart rate, pace, distance because audible alerts can’t always be heard.
The Garmin Forerunner 610 will be available in Australia from next month. Local pricing is yet to be announced but in the US it will cost $US349.
