Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet launched at Samsung Experience Store opening

galaxynotestoreThe Samsung Experience Store in Sydney is open for business and the company used the occasion to the launch the new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.

The store, located in the shopping heart of Sydney at 450 George St, offers customers the opportunity to interact with Samsung’s impressive range of mobile products.

These include smartphones and tablets, including the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 follows on from the popular 5.3-inch Galaxy Note smartphone and also includes an S Pen – the stylus which can be used to write and draw on the larger screen.

On board is a 10.1-inch high-resolution screen, a 1.4Ghz quad core processor and 2GB RAM.

Among a host of new features is side-by-side multitasking which allows users to take up one half of the screen to launch their applications while the other half can be used for writing or sketching.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 is priced from $589 for the wi-fi only 16GB model. A 3G model will be released in Australia later this year.

Also available in the Samsung Experience Store are laptops, digital camera and even some of Samsung’s smart TVs.

“As one of the largest smartphone suppliers both globally, and in Australia, we believe it is the perfect time to give Australians the opportunity to learn about our new technology and then be set up with new device, all in one store,” says Tyler McGee, vice president of telecommunications for Samsung Australia.

While the store is fundamentally a place where Australians can find and buy the latest Samsung products, what makes it different is the opportunity it provides shoppers to learn and experience the power of sharing content across multiple products and illustrate how products like a smartphones and TVs can work together.”

The Samsung Experience Store will also run sessions where customers can come in and discover the full capabilities of the range of devices and also speak to trained product specialists.

There is also a dedicated service desk manned by Samsung Smart Tutors who can help customers on the spot with any product issues they are having.
