We take a hands-on first look at the ASUS Zenbook A14 Copilot+ PC at CES

ASUS unveiled the new Zenbook A14 Copilot+ PC at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas – and we have taken a hands-on first look at the stylish and powerful laptop.

The ASUS Zenbook A14 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with the Hexagon NPU can provide up to 45TOPS.

So it ticks the boxes for performance and power.

The first thing you notice about the Zenbook A14 is the unique material it is made from.

This is ASUS’s very own Ceraluminium.

It feels more like stone than metal but it still has a smooth texture.

But the benefit is that it is tough and it resists scratches and fingerprints.

The other advantage is that it is also very light. It weighs in at less than 1kg – up to 980g to be precise depending on the configuration.

The Zenbook A14 is also quite thin so it’s no effort to take it with you.

But despite the lightweight and thin design – the Zenbook A14 still offers remarkable power and performance.

The 14-inch OLED is gorgeous – it has a 4K 1920 x 1200 resolution and your movies, games, apps, websites, images and videos look spectacular.

There was a deconstructed Zenbook A14 in the ASUS booth at CES and we could see the dual fan design that keeps things cool to maintain the high performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and NPU.

Also seen was the speaker system – two Harman Kardon tuned speakers and two smart amplifiers.

So not only will your content look amazing on the 14-inch 4K OLED screen it will also sound great as well.

Throw in Dolby Atmos and suddenly your movies and games are even more immersive.

The laptop can take up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB of SSD (solid state memory) which offers plenty of latitude to make the Zenbook A14 a powerful daily driver.

The Zenbook A14 has excellent connectivity with two USB-C ports which is also Thunderbolt 4 compatible so you can connect an external monitor or two.

And even though the laptop is super thin – there’s still room for a USB-A port, a full size HDMI port and an audio/microphone jack.

It is also great to know that it is Wi-Fi 7 certified so you can enjoy faster speeds when connecting to Wi-Fi 7 routers.

But one of the most important features is the remarkable battery life.

Apart from delivering the speed, power and performance, the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor also offers one other important feature – efficiency. Power efficiency.

As a result the ASUS Zenbook A14 provides an unprecedented 32 hours of battery life.

Yes, you’re reading that right – 32 hours.

That’s a couple of days for the average user before they even need to think about plugging it in again.

We haven’t even talked about the AI capabilities of the laptop.

They are all there including Live Captions, Co-creator in Paint, Generative Fill in Paint and Image Creator in Photos among many other features.

But you can rest assured that the Zenbook A14 has the capability to run all of today’s and tomorrow’s AI features.

The ASUS Zenbook A14 is available in two colours – pumice stone (beige) and light basalt (grey).

Both colours are excellent and really back up ASUS’s goal of making the laptop as stylish as it is powerful.

The ASUS Zenbook A14 will be available in Australia in March.
