New Lenovo X1 the thinnest ThinkPad yet
The X1 is Lenovo’s thinnest ThinkPad laptop ever and measures less than 17mm – thinner than the height of a 5 cent piece – and it weighs less than 1.7kg.
It has an interior roll cage and a magnesium chassis so it can handle the day to day wear and tear.
The screen is covered with Corning Gorilla glass which is not only strong but also scratch resistant.
One of the new features of the X1 is RapidCharge which allows the battery to reach 80 per cent capacity in just 30 minutes. The X1’s battery charges two and half times faster which will suit the on-the-go user.
Also on board is a backlit keyboard which make the X1 even easier to use in low light situations including a dimly light plane cabin.
Running Windows 7 operating system, the X1 is also an entertainment machine with high quality audio with Dolby Home Theatre v4 and a high definition display.
Security is also a high priority with Intel vPro technology and encrypted hard drives which can be managed remotely. Also included is a fingerprint reader that can be used to register users and power on the product.
“Lenovo customers are looking for a business laptop that combines premium consumer multimedia and entertainment features with high performance and mobility innovations in a thin and stylish design,” says David Heyworth, Think product group manager, Lenovo Australia and New Zealand.
The Lenovo X1 is available now with prices starting at $1959.
