Modern technology gives us many things.

New Asus netbook offers style and speed

While most of the fuss has been over the tablet PC so far in 2011, Asus has pressed forward with the release of a new Eee PC netbook.

The 1015PW offers not only good looks and design but performance as well thanks to the dual core Intel Atom N550 Pineview processor which runs at a speedy 1.5Ghz.

Also on board is 1GB RAM and your choice of either 250GB or 320GB hard drive.

The 1015PW has a 10.1 inch LED backlit screen with 1024 x 600 resolution along with a full qwerty keyboard, USB connectivity and, of course, wi-fi.

Many Netbook users want to stay connected on the go but don’t want to be weighed down by a bulkier laptop.

While a tablet computer like the iPad might be the answer, many users prefer to have a physical keyboard instead of tapping on glass on a virtual keyboard.

The Asus Eee PC 1015PW weighs just 1.25kg and provides up to 10 hours of battery life – that’s a whole work day before you need to look for a powerpoint.

Asus Express Gate is a feature which offers instant on functionality so users can check their email or the web right away without having to wait for a long boot up.

The Asus Eee PC 1015PW is available from mid February in three colours – purple, gold and pink – and will be priced at $469.
