Apple slashes prices in one-day Black Friday sale

Apple has brought Black Friday – a US shopping day when prices are slashed to mark the start of the Christmas shopping season – to Australia.

Until now, Black Friday has been limited to the US and always occurred the day after Thanksgiving.

Apple Australia has kicked off the one-day shopping event with discounts across the board in hardware, software and accessories.  

Black Friday prices will be available in Apple stores as well as online and includes iPads, iPods, MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs and iMacs for today only.

Items like Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, Wireless keyboard and iPad Smart Covers have also been discounted.

The iMac all-in-one computer has been reduced by as much as $121 for today only along with iPads discounted by as much as $65.

One popular Apple product that will not be reduced for Black Friday is the iPhone.

But the discounts aren’t just limited to Apple’s own products.

There are a number of accessories and companion products sold through the Apple store which have also been generously discounted.

One example is the Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin Air iPod speaker dock which has been reduced by $201.95 to be now priced at $598.

Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac which allows Mac users to run Windows on their computer has also been reduced by $35.95 to be priced at just $54 for today only.

The sale is on for today only – November 25 – so hurry in to grab your discounts either in-store or online.
