Apple is counting down to its 25 billionth app download and it will be rewarding the lucky user who gets them across that milestone with a $US10,000 app voucher.
Customers can be in the running when they purchase and download an app from the App Store or by filling in an entry form.
The winner will be the person who downloads the 25 billionth app or the person who submits their entry form after the 24,999,999,999th app is downloaded.
“As of today, nearly 25 billion apps have been downloaded worldwide. Which is almost as amazing as the apps themselves. So we want to say thanks,” Apple said on its website.
“Download the 25 billionth app, and you could win a US$10,000 App Store Gift Card. Just visit the App Store and download your best app yet.”
This isn’t the first time Apple has rewarded their users after similar promotions for the ten billionth app download which was just over a year ago.
That means in a little over 12 months users around the worldwide have download just on 15 billion apps from Apple’s App Stores across a number of devices.
