Roborock unveils its new S8 MaxV Ultra robot vacuum to take over your cleaning
Leading intelligent home robotics company Roborock has unveiled its most advanced robotic cleaner the S8 MaxV Ultra – a powerful one-stop cleaning system with advanced features to make it even more efficient and convenient.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, which was unveiled in a media event in Cairns recently, has Reactive AI 2.0 Obstacle Recognition and a built-in voice assistant.
It also has a flexi-arm to extend the side brush and get into places usually not accessible by a robot vacuum.
Roborock is the number one brand globally in the robot vacuum cleaner space and has sold more than 15,000,000 units in 170 countries.
The company spends more than $US300 million annually in research and development.
And to learn more about the customer experience, Roborock’s engineers even man the phones when offering support to users.
The Roborock engineers have created a hands-off cleaning experience that will be useful in homes of all shapes and sizes.
“Customer preferences are shifting towards products that are capable, intelligent, and can easily integrate with their smart home,” says Richard Chang, Founder & CEO of Roborock.
“Our mission at Roborock is to create companions that will make everyday tasks simpler and more enjoyable through technology.
“The S8 MaxV Ultra is the embodiment of that mission, combining smart technology with powerful cleaning to create a device that’s more than a vacuum—it’s a smart home companion that’s adaptable, efficient, and remarkably intuitive to use.”
The Roborock has a new Flexi Arm design which can extend the side brush into corners and low areas under furniture so it can sweep up dirt as close as 1.68mm from the edges.
The S8 MaxV ultra has 10,000Pa of suction power along with a DuoRoller Riser Brush and VibraRise 3.0 mopping system.
This makes it one of the most powerful robot vacuums in its class.
The DuoRoller Riser Brush means less tangles and a faster clean while the VibraRise 3.0 mopping system moves 4,000 times a minute to offer intense scrubbing action.
It can also rise 20mm so as not to cross contaminate while vacuuming your carpets.
The Reactive AI 2.0 Obstacle Recognition and Avoidance System can identify and avoid items in its path and even recognise different types of dirt and stains to adapt its cleaning accordingly.
It uses PreciSense LiDAR Navigation System which allows it to navigate precisely within your home and map the floor plan to ensure it creates the most ideal cleaning and mopping path.
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra also has a built in voice assistant which works even without a wi-fi connection.
This allows users to control the unit just by using their voice.
You get its attention by simply saying “Hello Rocky” and then issue commands including stopping, starting, cleaning a specific room, cleaning around where an accident spill occurred, returning to the base station and much more.
It is also compatible with Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant.
The S8 MaxV Ultra also has a pet recognition function and can travel around your home to help you locate your pet.
When it sees your pet, it will automatically stop its main brush and move out of the way to avoid scaring them.
There is also a deep cleaning mode that can help clean around where your pets frequent in your home.
You can control it all with the new Roborock Smart Plan technology and customizable app which is compatible with Matter for even simpler smart home connectivity.
It also comes with the RockDock Ultra for added convenience.
This is where the smart robot vacuum comes to charge as well as empty the dust, remove dirty water, add clean water and clean the mops with hot water and heated air drying.
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra is available now and is priced at $2,999.
